NEW ITALIANS DO IT BETTER?

enough reverb, some nostalgia, mid-tempo, a bit ethereal and semi-detached. check out nite jewel. halfway ariel pink and the italians do it better aesthetic. i think i read somewhere she's gonna release something on IDIB and sixsixsixties also mentioned this, but i haven't seen an official confirmation yet. she's been playing live loads with those cats though. when i first heard her on gvsb, it didn't really sink in, but after giving it a closer listen this woman's creations totally charmed and convinced me. especially What Did He Say and Weak 4 Me are absolutely addictive and earned On Repeat status.

fan death (the band, not the urban legend), i'm not so fond of. six and starlight are really into it, but i find them too kitschy (those violins!). when i listen to it i can just hear them thinking "whoa what we're doing is like so IT right now! this is so cool!". why do people sometimes forget it just needs to be good also? anyway, with an erol remix flexing their promotional muscle and the IDIB sound they got going on, they're bound to get bigger and i wish them all the best of luck. for seriously! they're not my thing, but i felt like mentioning them because my brothers are totally falling for that shit.

kitsuné recently planned a single for we have band. their name is so lolcats. it is my very esteemed opinion they made a horrific choice. why, in sweet buttfucking jesus' name, would you release the splattered poo when you could've gone for the good, solid shit? they chose the utterly trivial and blogpolluting Hear It In The Cans over the splendid and menacing We Came Out? what's wrong with gildas and or masaya? anyway, not trying to talk shit here (boosh!), because kitsuné did some great stuff in the past, but recent choices have seemed kind of off to me. oh well, ups and downs i guess, ups and downs.

don't forget jd twitch and borat in like ten days, w00t w00t!
